  4. Position Objective/Purpose
    To test, implement, complete, and service project components in a timely manner meeting or exceeding project specifications and to coordinate with project contractors to effectively give the end user a quality, trouble-free system

  5. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
    • To test, calibrate, and configure electrical equipment, instrumentation, components, products, and systems for municipal and industrial purposes
    • To direct personnel in mounting of control apparatus and equipment and to determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products
    • To review applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new municipal and industrial uses
    • To perform maintenance and repair of equipment and systems in field installations
    • To use test equipment, calibrators, and configurators to ensure correct setup of instrumentation
    • To review electrical connections to control panels and equipment to ensure proper application of each component

  6. Secondary Job Duties & Responsibilities
    • To perform after-startup service for former/current customers who call Revere for help on existing or potential problems
    • To install replacement equipment for customers that are upgrading or replacing defective units

  7. Position Skills/Qualifications
    • Qualified service engineer with at least 5 years experience in control or electrical field services; formal training in electronics or electrical systems service is desired.
    • Candidate should demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn technical skills.
    • Candidate should be honest and dependable.
    • Candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven ability to take charge of a job and complete it with minimal supervision.
    • Candidate should have good people skills, including the ability to interface with customers as well as co-workers.

  8. Special Requirements
    • Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for company insurance coverage

  9. Tools & Equipment Used
    Computer terminal; fax machine; copy machine; telephone, miscellaneous testing equipment; calibration equipment of various kinds

  11. Work Environment
    The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    • Fieldwork usually requires overnight travel.
    • Primary work is done in the field, which could be in a construction area and which could require the use of earplugs, hardhat, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.
    • The work environment could be outdoors, hot or cold, noisy and/or dirty.

  12. Mentor Qualifications
    • Must be a Revere employee with 2 years experience in the Service department with demonstrated leadership skills
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Must be willing to serve as a member of various employee committees
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    The above field service position will be based out of Florida or Tennessee.
