Sand Filtration System
This
continuously cleaning sand filter system is manufactured under an
exclusive agreement. It eliminates shut down time for backwash cycles
and has no moving parts, minimizing maintenance costs. In this configuration,
the filter is a continuous backwash, upflow, deep-bed granular media
filter, continuously cleaned by recycling the sand internally through
an airlift pipe and sand washers. The system provides uninterrupted
flow of filtrate and reject (backwash) water, eliminating clarification
requirements in water and wastewater treatment plants.
