The July 30, 2012 issue of Engineering News Record contained an article about Arizona’s Pima County’s two wastewater projects aimed at improving levels of nitrogen in their effluent. On one of the two projects, Ina Road, Revere is the control system integrator. The article discusses several aspects of the project, including the following:
- The County’s need to reduce the levels of nitrogen in the effluent from the two wastewater plants
- The alternative delivery methods used to create efficiencies and savings for the County
- A new design approach for the dissolved air flotation system used by engineering firm CH2M Hill
- The discovery during the design phase at Ina Road of an archeological treasure, an ancient irrigation and canal system dating to the San Pedro period, between 1250 BC and 750 BC
