Revere Awarded SCADA Upgrade Contract at Shreveport, LA

This month, the City of Shreveport, LA selected Revere Control Systems to perform their water and wastewater SCADA system Upgrade. There was intense interest in this project because the City of Shreveport is currently under an EPA Consent Decree similar to what Baton Rouge currently is  going through which has required the city of Baton Rouge to recently spend approximately $1 Billion dollars for their sewer upgrade program to bring the city back into EPA standards compliance.

The Architectural and Engineers Selection Committee gave the following reasons for selecting Revere for this project. The reasons below are not ranked in any particular order or importance:

  • Good References from our previous Revere customers
  • Revere showed the most interest and effort in selecting Certified Fair Share Goal Participation
  • Good recommendations from Shreveport operators and the City Engineer for our PM’s previous work with the city and his experience with the Citect equipment
  • Good recommendations to the selection committee from the previous contract holder

Revere will be teaming with the following companies to reach the 35% participation goal for Shreveport’s Fair Share Program: IMS, Communications One, and UtiliWorks.  Click here for more information about our SCADA offering.
