A lot of companies talk about their mission and values—how they believe in teamwork, integrity, and innovation. But at Revere, we believe a company’s culture isn’t built on what it says—it’s built on what it does.
Our work ensures communities have clean drinking water, cities stay powered, and industries operate more efficiently. But more than that, we are a team of problem-solvers, innovators, and collaborators who believe that engineering is more than just technical work—it’s a way to make the world better.
So, what sets Revere apart? Our people.
✅ Humble – Learning from each other and putting the team’s success first.
✅ Driven – Always pushing boundaries and taking on new challenges.
✅ Conscientious – Owning their work and delivering solutions that truly matter.
We don’t just talk about these values—we live them, every day. And we believe our employees’ stories speak for themselves—better than any mission statement ever could.
Here’s what three of our employees had to say about what working at Revere is really like.
Tim Wagoner: Finding a Team
Tim Wagoner had spent more than 20 years working in corporate engineering, building a career at companies that focused on efficiency and cost-cutting above all else. And for two decades, he lived on the road. Two hundred nights a year in hotels, long hours, and no extra compensation.
For years, that was just how it worked. Until he realized it didn’t have to be that way.
More Than Just a Paycheck
The first time Tim walked into Revere’s facility, he noticed two things: this was a company that valued its people, and this was a team. The workplace was clean and well-organized, but more than that, the people stood out. “Even though I was walking into a group of highly educated engineers, everyone was super nice. It felt like a big family. Everybody wanted to help out.”
At Revere, he didn’t just get paid for the work he performed—he found a culture that valued expertise and encouraged collaboration.
“Revere is Greater Than the Sum of Its Parts”
At his previous jobs, Tim was used to figuring things out alone. That changed the day he joined Revere. “I’m not on an island by myself. I have resources, I have a team, and I have decades of knowledge to pull from., not just my own”
Instead of relying solely on his own expertise, Tim now had an entire team’s knowledge behind him. This collective problem-solving doesn’t just help employees—it directly benefits Revere’s customers. “I bring value to the company, but with my team’s knowledge behind me, I can deliver even better solutions. Revere is greater than the sum of its parts.”
For Tim, the move to Revere wasn’t just about career change—it was about finally finding a place he could see himself staying. “I don’t want to leave—I want to retire here.”
Noah Bishop: Embracing Growth and the Unexpected
Noah Bishop started at Revere as a project engineer, tackling technical challenges and solving complex problems. But over time, he realized his passion wasn’t just in the technical side—it was in working with people, understanding their challenges, and creating solutions that made a real difference. What he didn’t expect? That Revere would not only recognize this but encourage him to step outside of engineering entirely and take on a new career path in account management.
From Engineer to Account Manager
For many engineers, transitioning into a client-facing role is a big leap. But at Revere, growth isn’t limited to one path—employees are encouraged to explore different opportunities, even if it means completely shifting disciplines. “I never imagined myself in sales, but here, there’s no limit to where you can go. I get to solve problems in a whole new way and bring even more value to our customers.”
Noah’s leadership team saw his strengths before he even saw them himself. “I wasn’t pushed into sales. I was encouraged. My leadership team saw something in me that I hadn’t seen in myself yet. And now, I love what I do.” Instead of just executing technical solutions, Noah now helps customers navigate challenges, plan smarter projects, and improve their processes. And his engineering background? It still plays a role—because now, he can bridge that gap between technical and strategic solutions.
Shawn Poole: Commitment Beyond the Project
For Shawn Poole, working at Revere is about going the extra mile for both his team and his customers. As a project manager, Shawn has seen firsthand how Revere employees step up for each other, whether it’s supporting a teammate or troubleshooting a complex issue. Some companies focus on completing a job and moving on. At Revere, the work doesn’t stop when a project ends—employees stay engaged, ensuring long-term success for both the team and the customer.
Shawn recalls when a major project in Miami was nearing completion after five years, project schedules placed demands on local personnel resources just before startup. It could have been a disaster. “We pulled an engineer from our Houston location, and without hesitation, he packed up and went to Miami for six weeks. He didn’t complain once. That’s the Revere mentality: do what it takes to support the team, the company, and the customer.”
This same level of commitment extends beyond just project work—Revere values employees’ time just as much as they value effort. “If you have something going on in your personal life, whether it’s a doctor’s appointment or a family emergency, Revere makes it work,” Shawn explains. But it’s not just about flexibility—it’s about mutual respect. “At Revere, it goes both ways. When the company needs something, people step up. When employees need something, Revere steps up for them too.”
Why Revere Puts Customers First
Revere’s commitment doesn’t stop when a project is complete. Many engineering firms install a system, collect their final payment, and move on. But at Revere, engineers remain available to their clients—sometimes years later.
Shawn knows this firsthand because he’s answered customer calls at 3 AM on the Fourth of July. “When you work in water and wastewater, downtime isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a crisis,” he explains. “We don’t hesitate. We help first, and we worry about cost later.”
And that culture of responsibility doesn’t disappear when someone moves on. Even former employees still feel that connection. “Two engineers left last year, went to another company,” Shawn says. “Our team still calls them when they have a tough problem. And they still answer. That’s the kind of culture we have here.”
That mentality extends all the way to leadership. At Revere, no one is too senior to step in when needed. “Even our managers are working managers,” Shawn says. “When there’s a need, they show up. Nan Johnson, our VP, has personally stepped into projects to help when we’re short-staffed. No one is too important to do the work.”
